The 150mm cooltube reflector is a cooled lamp reflector . It is a complex consisting of a Pirex glass cylinder, suspension bracket with E40 lamp holder, metal ends for connection to the tube and internal reflecting screen in hammered aluminum. This lamp reflector with an apparently inefficient shape is was specially designed to be connected via a flexible duct to the air extractor . In this way the hot air emitted by the bulb is trapped in the colltube and immediately recalled by the air extractor. The result is a considerable reduction of heat in the inside the growroom which allows the indoor grower to work with excellent results even in the hottest months of the year. Furthermore, the cooltube drastically reduces the distance between the lamp and the apicals of the plants, which increases the light intensity on the plants and allows to work in cultivation volumes of low height.

To maintain maximum efficiency, the Pirex cylinder of the cooltube reflector is half coated with a hammered aluminum reflecting surface and has an external support with two reflecting wings to make up for its poor extension in width and ensure a fair spread of the light beam emitted by the hps lamp.

Advice on using the 150mm cooltube lamp reflector

This lamp reflector is ideal for working with powerful hps lamps in low height spaces, for example it allows you to "force" a 600W hps bulb into a grow box with a height of less than 2 meters. Furthermore, these cooled reflectors can also be mounted in series (recommended maximum 4 per row) on a single aspirator, considerably reducing the heat even in large grow rooms .

The connection of any active carbon filter must be carried out on the opposite side to that of the extractor and does not compromise the efficiency of the filter. However, the Filter-tube-Reflector-tube system puts a strain on the capacity of the extractor air that in some cases must be reconsidered.
