How the pH meter with probe works

Here is a how-to guide to optimal operation of the Milwaukee Probe pH Meter :

1. Insert the battery in the special compartment on the back;
2. Remove the protective cap from the electrode and activate it by immersing it in the maintenance solution (MA9015) for about 2 hours;
3. Connect the pH electrode to the BNC connector on the instrument;
4. Make sure the device has been calibrated before using it;
5. Press the ON/OFF button to start the pH meter;
6. Immerse the tip of the electrode (2.5 cm) in the sample to be measured;
7. Shake and wait for the sample reading to stabilize;
8. After the measurement, switch off the instrument;
9. Rinse and clean the electrode after each use (distilled water is prohibited).

Remember that the electrode must always be kept slightly damp inside the protective cap. For this you can use a few drops of pH7 or pH4.
