Details
Among the superb cannabis varieties in the Dutch Passion seed bank catalog, Mazar stands out, an Afghan genetic that was the flagship in the 90s, repeatedly recognized as the winner thanks to its prodigious characteristics and long used to derive other strains with similar characteristics.
The name Mazar is a tribute to the city of Mazar-i Sharif, which is located on the Hindukush mountain range in Afghanistan. From these places come some of the best and most famous cannabis strains.
Mazar Feminized is a heavily indica-dominant Kush phenotype that has been crossed with a selected Skunk #1 plant. The result is a hardy and potent cannabis strain that will guide you on a long, intimate and meditative journey.
Characteristics of the feminized Mazar:
- Product: Mazar
- House: Dutch Passion
- Genetics: Afghan Kush x Skunk#1
- Variety: Feminized
- Typology: indicates dominant
- Flowering period: about 8 weeks
- Production: about 500gr/m2
- Thc: about 20%.
Growth and production of the feminized Mazar
Mazar feminized has a medium sized compact fir tree structure and is quite easy to grow to obtain more than satisfactory yields.
The most important factor to keep under control is the climate because this variety suffers from too high temperatures (it tends to have much more tolerance with temperate climates) and high humidity habitats.
It is advisable to provide the plant with adequate ventilation above all because it develops very hard and compact buds, typical of the Afghan species.
These dense inflorescences are enriched by a thick layer of resin which begins to 'whiten' the plant with the arrival of flowering; their complete maturation arrives after about 8 weeks from the end of the vegetative time.
While for the phenotypes of Mazar that have inherited more characteristics related to the Skunk parentage, it can take up to 3 weeks longer than those with a predominance of kush.
Although it has numerous thick branches, it is possible that Mazar fem. needs supports to be able to support the weight of the flowers in the last few weeks.
The specimens grown indoors have heights contained in the meter while, if grown externally, the apical peaks can double.
Dutch Passion's Mazar yields hover around 500gr/m2 but these numbers can easily go up as this genetic lends itself to enhancement techniques such as Sog and Scrog.
Flavors and Effects of Dutch Passion's Mazar
Already from the 4th week of flowering the plant exudes very intense kush aromas in the environment. The flavors of Dutch Passion's Mazar are pungent and earthy with strong Afghan hash and pine tones mixed with citrus and an interesting incense undertone.
The effects derived from mazar are long-lasting and very relaxing, soothing and relaxing. It acts on physical numbness and drives away mental tensions, it is in fact indicated among the Dutch Passion varieties also suitable for therapeutic purposes as well as recreational ones.
